On 16 January 2026, Hotelschool The Hague held its first-ever Challenge Expo, titled “We Are What’s Next”. LONELY-EU took part as a mentor organisation and as a “Challenge Commissioner”.
Student teams had worked on projects about interventions against loneliness within the hospitality sector. LONELY-EU supported them as mentors in the run-up to the expo.
During the expo, 24 student projects were assessed. Each team received final feedback on its work.
LONELY-EU aims to turn research on loneliness into practical tools and policy. Working with students who will go on to shape the hospitality sector is one way of bringing that work into practice.
