LONELY-EU: solutions against loneliness and social isolation
The LONELY-EU project is all about tackling social isolation and loneliness (SIL) across Europe. It brings together experts from science, policy, and communication to create a unified EU-wide strategy. The goal is to connect stakeholders, share knowledge, and support better, evidence-based policies at every level — local to EU-wide.

The project works across three pillars:
Data & Research: Analyzing large data sets to map out the causes and effects of SIL.
Policy & Monitoring: Creating a European SIL Index and using research to recommend effective solutions.
Networking & Communication: Building a strong EU-wide SIL network and spreading the word to ensure lasting impact.
Backed by global organizations like WHO and OECD, LONELY-EU is set to make a real difference in building a more connected and resilient Europe.
