LONELY-EU Policy Briefs

Launch of the LONELY-EU Policy Brief Series

We are excited to announce the LONELY-EU Policy Brief Series! This series will be a
growing collection of short reports focusing on solutions against social isolation and
loneliness.

Who is this for?

Our policy briefs target anyone who is interested in learning more about loneliness and all
those who aim to develop evidence-based solutions.

We will have two lines of policy briefs:

  1. Policy update: Focuses directly on the policy side of loneliness.
  2. Research update: Summarizes scientific evidence and proposes actionable
    recommendations for policy and beyond

Who is behind this?

LONELY-EU is a Horizon Europe project that aims to improve understanding, monitoring and
policymaking on social isolation and loneliness across Europe. The project combines
research, policy development and networking to support evidence-based action at all
governance levels. This work is supported by the European Union's LONELY-EU project
(Grant Number: 101177225), bringing together partners from across the EU to build
evidence-based solutions to social isolation and loneliness.

When does it start?

The first four policy briefs have been published today. Watch this space for more information.

What’s next?

We already have several additional policy briefs planned which will be published over the
course of the next months. If you have requests for specific topics or are interested in
contributing, get in touch with us.
